Sounds like a good overhaul with a horrible name.

Continuing to exploit the synergy between its print and web presence (not that we wouldn't if we had a print presence...), 1UP has printed some of the rumors found in the July issue of EGM.
The big one is another assertion that Rare is working on a new Killer Instinct for Xbox 360. This time the rumored name is Killer Instinct 3D: Death, Destruction, and Doom. The graphics are said to be fully 3D (as the incredibly long-winded name would imply), replacing the plastic 2D graphics in the first two titles, and combat has also been refined to come up to modern standards.
The site also drops a couple other less-surprising hints: Call of Duty 5 won’t be out before February 2009 (good, give Treyarch more time to refine things we say), EA is working on a new Medal of Honor (also for 2009) set in Afghanistan (not surprising given CoD’s modern move), and 2K Games is reviving the Spec Ops brand for a new big budget current-gen installment set in Dubai.
