Two titles that couldn't be more different from each other mark this week's releases on the Xbox Live Arcade for Xbox 360. Rez HD brings the Q Entertainment's hardcore classic to the platform, complete with upgraded HD visuals (obviously) to go with new graphics and sound effects.
On the other end of the spectrum, Ubisoft brings Chessmaster Live to the system. It features five variants of original chess, including Message Chess for the hardcore of a different sort, and "beautifully crafted 3D chess sets" inspired by board designer House of Staunton.
Both titles will retail for 800 Microsoft Points, be available from 1am PST on Wednesday, January 30th, and are rated "E" for Everyone. Japan and Korea will not have access to Chessmaster Live for some reason (we never did figure that particular quirk of XBLA releases out), but everyone else in the connected world will.
