That price is awfully steep though...
After a stellar initial launch lineup for the service, unfortunately hampered in our eyes by a much less stellar pricing structure of 1200 Microsoft Points each (often higher than a physical copy of the game these days), Microsoft has quietly dropped a new game to the Xbox Originals service. Burnout 3: Takedown gets the honors today ahead of next week’s release of Burnout Paradise, retailing for the same 1200 Microsoft Points ($15) as previous releases, which again is probably too high given the lower used price on eBay and 2.3GB of hard drive space required to save it.
The same warnings apply as with previous XO releases; the game may experience brief audio and/or video glitches, the controls are mapped a little differently due to the missing black and white buttons, etc. Despite rumblings to the contrary, the Burnout 3 / EA servers do appear to be online and functioning properly, so the game should be as playable as it's going to be right from the get-go.
