The Bard’s Tale

We'll admit that we were skeptical Microsoft would put any more effort into its Xbox 360 backwards compatibility updates, after the company announced that it'll soon be charging $15 for Xbox Originals as of December 4th.

To our surprise that's not quite the case, as Microsoft has announced the latest batch of original Xbox titles now playable on the Xbox 360. The full list of playable Xbox titles is online at Xbox.com, but some of the highlights from this latest update include:

  • Armed and Dangerous
  • Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance
  • Blinx: The Timesweeper
  • Breakdown
  • Fight Night: Round 3
  • Freedom Fighters
  • Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb
  • Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter
  • The Bard's Tale

Of course, most of the work on these titles was likely completed before the Xbox Originals announcement, so the true test of Microsoft's continued support of backwards compatibility will be in the days to come. Still, it's nice to see the company honoring its committment to gamers and Xbox fans.
