Fans of the Dragon Age series that can’t wait for the release of Dragon Age II next month will get a taste of what to expect beginning this week. Starting today, BioWare is making the Dragon Age II demo available for download on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. Bioware has stated that if the number of downloads reaches one million before March 1st, they will unlock 2 addition in-game items for Dragon Age II. The items are Lotherings’s Lament and The Far Cliffs of Kirkwall. Both items are tomes that can add an XP boost and money when read.
The demo allows gamers to play through the prologue and offers the choice of three different character classes to play as. By completing the demo, gamers will be able to unlock a special weapon called Hayder’s Razor which increases health, mana, and combat abilities.
Dragon Age II is expected to be released on March 8th, 2011 in North America and March 11th, 2011 in Europe.
